My work within my space

In a previous post I had mentioned that I was having trouble with how to exhibit my work within my space, as this was also something that i felt i need to consider with regards to exhibiting within the shops in May, and so here are a few of the images i have been working with, any thoughts would be much appreciated.
So the images on the right are some of the later pieces that I have been working on these ones involved me dying my mouth with food colouring (not the most pleasant experience i can tell you!)
I've also used chocolate and other substances in order to colour the spit, i'm really happy with how they came out especially on the top row red one, i feel that there is something strong going on!
I've just pinned them up with pins, and at the moment i'm working on some tiny tiny litmus paper samples, so how i'm going to put these up in my space i do not know!
Oh well

So the other day with a couple of fellow course members we ventured to the Henry Moore institute where there was a variety of different exhibitions on including Alan Johnston's exhibition. Due to the fact that there was much hype surrounding it I was excited to see the space and what had been done with it

I feel the aspect i was most looking forward to was the fact it was all done with one pencil and so i thought that one would be presented with some considered and extraordinary marks.
However i could not help but feel disappointed. The space itself was a rather strong area in which to exhibit, with great natural light and a spacious, free feeling, but the 'drawings' seemed to be swamped by the space and not so considered, nor appealing.
With regards to the gallery space itself and with the consideration of this brief i feel that it was a strong space and helped me to visualize how natural light can play such a large component within an exhibition. I cannot help but feel that if this exhibition had not been supported by such string natural light then it would have been even more unsuccessful.
And so i've started to have a look into natural light within exhibition spaces, although i know this is not really a possibility for our exhibition maybe there is some way in which i can evoke the feeling and atmosphere of natural lighting?!

First post

Start of the blog, and rather belatedly!
So I think what I'm going to do is just intorduce my work to the blog and then I will look at how other work is desplayed in galleries and such as this is the problem I am currently facing in my studio space with regards to the small experiments I have been undertaking.

So my project is looking into the abject and why bodily fluids are frowned upon as a material within the art world. To begin with I looked at just bodily fluids in general but then refined my medium to just spit after a happy accident of a drawing using spit.

I'm currently working on some small pieces in my studio space which initially I attached to my wall with white tac HUUUUUGE mistake, they look cheapened and the small tacs distract from the delicate marks found on the paper. (I'll get some pictures up soon)
So now I have taken to using some small silver tacs which feel a lot more considered and delicate within the space and seem to add to the work rather than detract.

I really feel like I need some pictures so I'm going to go and take some and then carry on with this point.
